Great news!

Canada’s unemployment rate dropped to 6.6% in January, showing continued progress in the job market. With 76,000 new jobs added, Canada is seeing strong growth, especially as we head into 2025. This is the second month in a row of unemployment rate declines, and a clear positive momentum!

While there are still challenges, more people are finding work and contributing to the economy. Youth employment is also up, with the unemployment rate for those aged 15-24 falling to 13.6%.

The drop in interest rates is boosting business activity and consumer spending, however, the threat of looming tariffs does create some uncertainty.

Canada’s economic recovery is on track, and we're excited to see what’s ahead!
