To qualify for permanent residence under the Canadian Experience Class (CEC), here's what you need:

🔸 Skilled work experience in a job that's TEER category 0, 1, 2, or 3 (as per the 2021 National Occupational Classification)
🔸 At least 1 year of full-time work (or an equivalent amount in part-time) within the last 3 years
🔸 Work experience gained with a valid work permit and with an employer in Canada (self-employment doesn't count)
🔸 The work experience must not have been obtained while studying under a study permit 🎓
🔸 Your Canadian work permit DOES NOT have to be continuous

You can't apply for the CEC if:
- You're a refugee claimant in Canada
- You're working without authorization (without a valid work permit) 🔒
- You gained work experience before obtaining temporary resident status in Canada
