The Francophone Minority Communities Student Pilot (FMCSP), will start on August 26, 2024.
It aims to increase study permit approval rates for French-speaking students through the following:
●reduced proof of funds requirements: 75% of the low-income cut-off in the region of study.
●students and their accompanying family members will not need to prove that they will leave Canada after their studies (no ties to home country required)
●direct pathway to permanent residence after completing a diploma program
●exempted from the current study permit cap/ limit.
