✅ A recent Leger poll conducted for the National Post has unveiled that 65% of Canadians think the Liberal government’s immigration targets are set too high.
🔹 The survey, which comes as the government aims to welcome 500,000 newcomers annually by 2025 and 2026, also found that 78% of respondents believe high immigration levels contribute to the housing shortage.
📌 While opinions on the temporary foreign worker program remain mixed, with 48% viewing it positively, the poll highlights growing concerns about the impact of immigration on various sectors, including healthcare.
▫️ The government has recently announced plans to adjust policies regarding temporary residents in response to these concerns.
