1️⃣ Post Graduation Work Permit (PGWP)
Work anywhere in Canada after graduating from an eligible program (8+ months) with a study permit.
Requires English/French test.
Spouse may get an open work permit (if employed).
Can apply from outside Canada; valid for up to 3 years.
2️⃣ Bridging Open Work Permit (BOWP)
Work in Canada while awaiting PR decision.
For temporary workers and graduates with a prior work permit.
No dependent open work permit for spouses; valid for up to 2 years.
3️⃣ Provincial Nomination Program (PNP) Closed Work Permit
Work only in the nominating province while awaiting PR decision.
For specific PNP candidates, non-Express Entry.
Commitment to employer required; can switch within the province post-PR approval.
