Today, Canada released its immigration levels for the next 3 years and the immigration target for permanent residents (PRs) did not reduce.
Breakdown of the immigrantion targets by category;

✅Express Entry
◾️2024 = 110,700 PRs
◾️2025 & 2026 = 117,500 PRs

✅Provincial Nominee Program
◾️2024 = 110,000 PRs
◾️2025 & 2026 = 120,000 PRs

✅Spousal, Partner & Children Sponsorship
◾️2024 = 82,000 immigrants
◾️2025 & 2026 = 84,000 immigrants

✅Parents and Grandparents program
◾️2024 = 32,000 PRs
◾️2025 & 2026 = 34,000 PRs

✅Humanitarian, Compassionate & Refugees
2024 = 89,865 PRs
2026 = 80,832 PRs

✅Quebec also announced its immigration target;
◾️2024 & 2025 = 50,000 PRs

Canada is currently copying with housing shortage which has led most Canadians to insist that the annual immigration target be dropped than previous years.

However, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) continues to keep to high immigration targets because of two main reasons;
1️⃣ Low birth rate of Canadians, and
2️⃣ Retirement rate of Canadian workers as they reach age 65.
