On August 7, British Columbia (BC) invited about 150 top qualified skilled workers to apply for its provincial nomination programs (PNP).

BC invites skilled workers on a weekly basis through it Skilled Immigration Registration System (SIRS). The following categories of applicants were targeted and their respective SIRS cut-offs;

◾️Childcare 88
◾️Construction 90
◾️Healthcare 101
◾️Veterinary Care 90

BC also did a general draw that targeted all occupations across all streams. The minimum cutoff was 132 except for Entry Level Semi-Skilled which was 110.

A provincial nomination from BC can either increases your chances for Canadian Permanent Residence (PR) through the express entry system by giving you 600 additional CRS points OR make you eligible to apply for direct PR through non-express entry system.
