The Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP) Program has officially closed.

🗓️ July 31 was the deadline for communities to recommend applicants to IRCC, and August 31 marked the final date for recommended applicants to submit their permanent residency applications.

✨ Launched to promote settlement in remote areas of Canada, the RNIP allowed each region to invite up to 125 applicants annually, totalling a program capacity of 2,750.

🔻 As the RNIP concludes, a new initiative, the Rural Community Immigration Pilot Program, is set to debut this fall.

☑️ Like the Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP), this program aims to stimulate economic development in remote regions.

📌 It will provide additional support to designated employers, offering enhanced assistance to employees compared to other provincial pathways.

▫️ While the specific communities and eligibility criteria are yet to be announced by IRCC, the program is designed to address the ongoing demand for skilled workers in rural Canada.
