With NBA 2K25 set to launch on September 6, 2K Sports has unveiled the top 10 player ratings for this year’s edition, featuring a mix of familiar faces and emerging stars. The list showcases some of the NBA’s elite talent, including Denver Nuggets' Nikola Jokić, Los Angeles Lakers' LeBron James, and Golden State Warriors' Stephen Curry.

Nikola Jokić, the reigning MVP, holds the top spot again, though his rating has slightly decreased from a 98 to a 97 overall. This drop could be attributed to the Nuggets' exit in the Western Conference Semifinals after their NBA Championship win the previous year. Despite this, Jokić shares the top rating with two other European stars: Luka Dončić of the Dallas Mavericks and Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks. Dončić has improved from a 95 to a 97, while Antetokounmpo’s rating has risen from 96 to 97.

Following them are Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of the Oklahoma City Thunder and Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers, both with a 96 overall rating. Veteran stars LeBron James and Stephen Curry, aged 39 and 36 respectively, are rated 95 overall. Jayson Tatum of the NBA Champion Boston Celtics, who graces the cover of NBA 2K25’s Standard Edition, also holds a 95 rating.

The final spots in the top 10 are occupied by Kevin Durant of the Phoenix Suns and Anthony Davis of the Los Angeles Lakers, both rated 94. Notably, the Lakers are the only team with two players in the top 10.

Just missing out on the top 10 are Anthony Edwards of the Minnesota Timberwolves, Devin Booker of the Phoenix Suns, and Jalen Brunson of the New York Knicks, all rated 93. Additionally, 2024 Rookie of the Year Victor Wembanyama has received a notable boost to a 91 overall, up from 84 in NBA 2K24.

NBA 2K25 will be available on September 6 for PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Alongside Tatum on the Standard Edition cover, the WNBA Edition and All-Star Edition feature A’ja Wilson, while the Hall of Fame Edition is graced by Vince Carter.
